“People helping people” is the motto that prompted The Fraternal Order of Eagles to first start their activities in 1898, in Seattle. Locally, the Dickinson Eagles Aerie was established in 1939 and has been giving back to Dickinson and its surroundings ever since.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit organization that donates to communities, fundraisers, charities and causes. It started out as the Order of Good Things, founded by prominent theater owners during a musicians’ strike in 1898, and the women's auxiliary can be traced back to 1927. As their numbers grew, the Order chose the Bald Eagle as their official emblem and changed the name of the organization to "The Fraternal Order of Eagles".

Since the beginning, the F.O.E. has maintained strong dedication to giving back to the communities housing Aerie and Auxiliaries, hence their motto "People Helping People." The Fraternal Order of Eagles now includes nearly 800,000 members and more than 1,500 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
The Dickinson Eagles Aerie supports many local groups and charities such as Make A Wish, Ronald McDonald House, Home on the Range and the Roughrider Commission, just to name a few. Thanks to their volunteer members and donations, the Dickinson Eagles has been giving back to Dickinson and the surrounding area since 1939 and continues to grow in numbers with over 800 current members.
Presently, the club hosts weddings, anniversaries and other social events. They have daily lunch specials Monday through Friday, along with regular bar menu items.
The Eagles Club also offers charitable gaming with blackjack, pull tabs and bar bingo. All proceeds from gaming allow the club to continue their activities, to contribute back to programs, benefits and causes in the area.
