Wellness in Watford

There’s some great options in Watford City for those that are looking to get ready for swimsuit season; including early morning spin classes and body pump classes at the Connie Wold Gym, along with water aerobics classes, and beach body workouts at the Rough Rider Center.

There’s also a couple of lesser known options to help you reach your fitness goals in town, one of those is through fitness accountability groups that allow you to do virtual classes and nutrition consulting from local mom, Katie McGalvrey, the owner of McGalvrey Fitness.

“I couldn’t find a gym in Watford City that offered childcare, so I started working as an independent fitness consultant”.  When Katie’s not working out, offering virtual classes and consulting clients on their nutrition, you can find her behind her computer, running her other business, Fit Chick Tanks a very successful Etsy shop that she started when she lived in Texas.

If you are looking for zen, or a fun spin on yoga classes, Watford City Yoga has you covered. Instructor McKenzie Ramlow, moved to North Dakota six years ago from Los Angeles, and has been teaching Yoga classes in Watford City for the last five years.  She teaches beginning to advanced yoga classes, some are taught downstairs at Outlaws and others at Stonehome.  In the summer, when the weather gets nicer, her classes will head outdoors.  The schedule for classes with Watford City Yoga is kept current on their Facebook Page.
