HUNGER/THIRST: Spring Salads & Drinks

Spring is here, and it’s time to put the crock-pot away and start lightening up our meals.  We sought out the best “spring-time” salads at restaurants in Dickinson, North Dakota and the surrounding area:

The “Baby Spinach” salad from the Brickhouse Grille in Dickinson, features fresh sliced Prosciutto, Blue Cheese, Red Onion, Fresh Strawberries, and house-made Candied Almonds over a bed of Baby Spinach with a Raspberry Vinaigrette.

The Crossing is serving up what is sure to be a spring-time favorite, The Cranberry Chicken Salad, is comprised of Field Greens, Creamy Chicken Salad, Grapes, Toasted Almonds, Red Onions, Orange Supremes, and drizzled with an Orange-Cranberry Vinaigrette.

For those looking for an incredibly healthy meal, the Omega Plus Salad from The Crossing starts with Dark Leafy Greens, Dried Cranberries, Fresh Blueberries, Tri-Color Quinoa, Smoked Salmon, Walnuts, a Hard-Cooked Egg, and Red Bell Pepper.

One of the top selections this Spring at Players, is the Steak Salad.  Spinach, red onions, tomatoes, and bleu cheese crumbles served with a honey-mustard vinaigrette, candied pecans, and topped with grilled sirloin steak.

Head on over to City Brew this month and pick up the Iced Caramel Con Panna or the Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake Frappe, both two great drinks for Spring, and a refreshing way to put a little pep in your day.
